Kahlua Date Nut Bread

  • 1 Cup U-Bake Dates, chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Kahlua
  • 2/3 Cup U-Bake Brown Sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 Tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 Cups U-Bake Flour, sifted
  • 1 tsp U-Bake Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp U-Bake Salt
  • 2/3 Cups U-Bake Pecans, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine dates and Kahlua. Set aside and let stand. Beat sugar, butter and egg together until creamy. In a seperate bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Alternate adding flour mixture and date mixture to the sugar mixture. Stir in pecans. Put batter in a greased bread loaf pan. Let batter stand in pan for about 5 mintues. Bake for about 60-70 minutes or until done. Smaller pans may only take 45 minutes. Watch closely as ovens vary.
