12” U-Bake Thin & Light Pizza Crust
1 lb Sweet Italian Sausage, browned
4 oz sliced Baby Bell mushrooms, browned
2 medium onions sliced in rounds
2 cups Mozzarella Cheese
½ cup Asiago Cheese, shredded
2 tbs. Basil Pesto
2 tbs. butter
1 tbs. U-Bake Sugar
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 500 degrees
Brown the sausage, and when it is at the ¾ mark or not quite fully browned, add the sliced bell mushrooms and finish cooking. (Approximately 3-4 minutes)
Caramelize the onions: In a separate pan melt the butter and sugar on low to medium heat. Add the onions, and stir occasionally in order to keep them from burning. (Approximately 20 - 30 minutes)
Take out the pizza crust and spread the pesto over the entire surface of the crust.
Next sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the crust.
Distribute the sausage and mushroom mixture evenly over the pizza
Liberally add the onions over the entire pizza.
Bake in the oven for 10 min or until golden brown. (We recommend using a pizza stone)
Remove the pizza, add the Asiago cheese on the top and put it back in the oven for about 1 to 2 min in order to melt the cheese.
Take out of the oven, cut, and enjoy!
