- 2 pounds sirloin tips (cut into 1-inch cubes)
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1 (14oz) can diced tomatoes
- 1 1/2 cups hot water
- 2 teaspoons U-Bake beef soup base
- 1 1/2 cup canned or frozen corn kernels
- 3 medium carrots, peeled and sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon U-Bake garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon U-Bakeground cumin
- 1 U-Bake bay leaf
- 1/2 teaspoon U-Bake black pepper
- Salt to taste
Heat oil in a heavy frying pan, add sirloin tips to brown. Combine all other ingredients and place in bottom of crock pot, add browned sirloin tips. Cover and cook on low for approximately 8 hours or until beef is tender. Taste and add salt if needed.
This is nice serve with our crusty European Rolls and a green salad.
Tip: If your mornings are too hectic, prepare everything the evening before and refrigerate. Then you just need to tip the ingredients into the crock pot and turn it on.
