This sauce is the perfect dip for apple slices. Refrigerate any leftovers, reheating as needed.
- 3/4 Cup (8 ounces) caramel, from a block or about 25 unwrapped U-Bake caramel candies
- 6 T (3 ounces) butter
- 2 T (1 ounce) light corn syrup
- 2 T (1 ounce) water
- 3 T (1 ounce) boiled cider
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp U-Bake Cinnamon or apple pie spice
Melt the caramel with the butter in a saucepan set over low heat. Stir in the remaining ingredients, then bring to a rapid boil. Remove from the heat and stir to cool slightly. Serve warm. Yield: about 1 1/3 cups.
